Welcome to York! “Bridging the gap between treatment and prevention.” is not just a logo to me. It is what I have dedicated my life’s work to achieving. My own pets are integral members of my family and I want them to be healthy and happy as long as possible. We never have the furry members of the family in our lives long enough. Thus prolonging pets’ lives, not only through the treatment of illness, but by doing everything possible to prevent illness is paramount. This is my goal for all my patients. Every day, I see the happiness and love my patients share with their families and the ups and downs of life family pets carry them through. Who’s there for you every day, loves you no matter what and doesn’t ever judge you? I can’t think of a more rewarding vocation! I became interested in veterinary medicine while growing up on the family dairy farm, where from a young age, I tended to the needs of the calves, took care of the cats and dogs, milked cows and rode my pony. I relished the days when the vet was called out to the farm. I attended The Ohio State University, obtaining a B.S. in Dairy Science and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and met my husband, partner and fellow veterinarian, Michael Mull DVM. After two years at a mixed animal practice in Wauseon, Ohio, we purchased York Animal Hospital in 1992. I can’t imagine a day without my two dogs, Bennie and Becca, and my two cats, Maurice and King Julian eagerly awaiting my rising in the morning or greeting me when I get home from work with: “Where’s my food?”, “Let’s go for a walk!” or “Here, I’ll lay in your lap purring and you can tell me about your day!”
